For Rick Astley’s Reflections Tour, All Of It Now developed a comprehensive real-time content and IMAG integration system to make the live camera feed feel like a seamless extension of the show’s visual world. With Beki serving as Creative Director, the system used real-time processing and compositing to move beyond traditional IMAG, incorporating live performers into a constantly evolving visual framework across the screens. Camera feeds were integrated through a variety of gridded layouts and inlaid compositions, allowing IMAG to interact directly with the surrounding content rather than functioning as a standalone live feed.
The camera treatment was designed to respond to the visual language of each moment, with the live image being processed, layered, cropped, transformed, and composited alongside the pre-designed content. This created a cohesive relationship between the performer, camera, and screen environment, with the IMAG feed at times becoming a primary visual element and at others being embedded within the larger composition. The approach allowed the live camera to feel intentionally authored as part of the content system, creating transitions between live performance and designed imagery while maintaining a consistent visual identity throughout the show. The result was a flexible real-time system that blurred the distinction between IMAG and content, making the camera an active and pivotal component of the overall visual experience.
